On Sunday last DCU Mercy hoasted their "PINK OUT" day for the Marie Keating Foundation in the DCU Sports Arena. DCU Mercy played Black Forge Dynamoes in what proved to be a very one sided affair with DCU Mercy winning by a huge margin of 82 points to 38 points.
What was amazing about the day was the sea of PINK in support of the Marie Keating Foundation with everyone getting into the spirit of the day. We had guests from Castlecomer, Kilkenny who played a challenge game with some of our 13 and 14 year old girls team. We also had young guests from Ballymun who have just started a couple of teams and we hope that they all enjoyed their day and we thank them for their support. We thank all those that provided the PINK cakes and the sandwiches and the ladies who helped serve it all.
We had face painting, raffles and a prize for the best dressed PINK person who the Marie Keating Foundation judged for us. This prize went to 5 year old Anna Martin who attends the Mercy Academy.
As this was DCU Mercy's last league game for the season we would like to thank all our supporters, those that did table officials for us and to Basketball Ireland for their contined support.
We wish the DCU Mercy team the best of luck in the semi-finals of the play-offs when they meet Team Montnette, Glanmire on the weekend of the 19th/20th March.
